The South Humarock Civic Association is a community organization formed in 1945 by the residents of South Humarock, MA. The purpose of the SHCA is to encourage and promote civic betterment and social engagement during the summer months. We are an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization managed by an elected board of officers.
Residents of Humarock and adjoining areas can become members. Residents of South Humarock can become regular members, residents of adjoining areas can become associate members- once you've been a dues-paying associate member for five years, you become a regular member. Dues are $40 for the 2024 summer season.
Memberships benefits include having access to social and civic events for kids and adults throughout the summer, and being a part of a multigenerational community of seasonal and year-round residents in this classic seaside town. Our complete calendar for the summer is published after Memorial Day, and runs through the signature SHCA-sponsored event on Labor Day weekend, the Horribles parade. To become a member, shoot us an email, let us know your Humarock address, and we'll be in touch!
The SHCA is all about the members, so feel free to stop by the clubhouse during any events!
